Our Purpose

The purpose of Calvary Baptist Church is to first and foremost honor and glorify God (1 Corinthians 10:31).

We exist for the purpose of fellowship. We strive for our church to be a place of encouragement for all by building up one another in the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We exist for the spreading of the gospel. We are a missions minded church that understands our command to send the gospel around the world. We whole heartedly give thousands of dollars annually to the spreading of the gospel all across the world.

We exist to make an impact on our city and communities. We understand believers are called to be the "salt of the earth." 

We exist to help you and your family find faith for your relationships. It takes faith to have and build a relationship with Christ, and it is Christ who helps us to maintain our personal relationships with our families and each other.

We exist because we need what a church family brings to our lives.

Our Beliefs

The Bible
We believe that the Bible was written by men supernaturally inspired of God. That it has truth without any admixture of error. We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible. We use the King James Version in our ministries.

God
We believe that there is one, and only one, living and true God. We believe that God is part of the Trinity. 

Jesus
We believe that Jesus is the Savior of the world. He is the only begotten Son of God. It is through Jesus that we obtain our salvation and the forgiveness of sins. We believe that Jesus is part of the Trinity. We believe that He was born of the virgin Mary.

Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, and the third member of the Trinity. It is the Holy Spirit that convicts men of sin, and draws them to a saving relationship with Christ.

Satan
We believe that Satan was once holy, and enjoyed heavenly honors, but through pride fell. We hold him as man's great tempter, the enemy of God, and the author of all darkness.

Creation
We believe in the Genesis account of creation, and that it is to be accepted literally. (Genesis 1 & 2)

Church
We believe that a church is a congregation of baptized believers associated by a covenant of faith and fellowship of the gospel. Our purpose and existence is to get the gospel out to all the world. (Mark 16:15)
 

Missions

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway; even unto the end of the world."  (Matthew 28:18-20)

It is a command and a privilege to be a part of God's ministry to the world. The Great Commission is at the heart of our church. We practice a Faith Promise Missions giving program, which allows for giving freely and cheerfully.
